Protecting Sources

To the extent allowable by law, communications with the Ethics Office will remain confidential.  In cases involving possible violations of law, JPL may be required to reveal the matter, including the identity of persons known to have knowledge of the facts of the case, to Government authorities or attorneys representing clients in law suits against JPL.

Laboratory policy prohibits retaliation against employees who, in good faith, report violations or suspected violations of ethical practices.  False accusations against another employee for retaliatory or personal reasons will not be tolerated. Refer to the Ethical Business Conduct and Ethics Record Retention policy for more details.
